Job summary

Resources for Human Development is hiring an Individual Support and Placement Specialist for our Louisiana Metropolitan ACT team in New Orleans. You will help participants set and achieve employment and education goals, connect them with training and job opportunities, and coordinate supports with a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll build relationships with employers and community partners, provide ongoing individualized support, and help participants pursue meaningful careers and independence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in mental health, social services, business, or related area.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication with participants, employers and partners.
• Proven ability to build relationships and support independence.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals obtain and maintain employment aligned with their vocational goals.
• Assist with education and vocational training opportunities.
• Develop individualized employment and education plans with participants.
• Build relationships with employers and community partners and coordinate supports with ACT team.
• Provide services in community settings including participants' homes, workplaces and educational sites.
