Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to handle employment law matters, provide counsel and litigation management, and advise on related transactional issues. The role includes compliance guidance, training, and interaction with management and HR on a broad range of employment issues.

The candidate will represent the firm in civil, regulatory and governmental litigations, manage outside counsel, and address restrictive covenants and related agreements.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of litigation experience in employment law.
• Eight or more years in employment law litigation and agency defense.
• Five or more years at a law firm with a litigation focus.
• Experience counseling on employment-related risk and compliance.
• Restrictive covenant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel and litigation management on employment law matters.
• Advise HR on policy development and compliance.
• Manage outside counsel and coordinate disputes.
• Draft and negotiate restrictive covenants and related agreements.
• Represent the firm in civil, regulatory, and governmental matters.
