Description

Build Something Bigger — And Change Lives, Including Your Own. In 1935, Louise Whitbeck Fraser opened a school in her home for people with disabilities — defying social expectations and choosing compassion over convention. She believed everyone deserves the chance to reach their potential and thrive. Today, that same bold spirit is alive in every Fraser service. We’re still building something bigger — a more inclusive, connected world where everyone belongs. At Fraser, you’ll find more than a job. You’ll find purpose. You’ll find growth. And you’ll find a place where your work changes lives — including your own.

The Employment Coach provides individualized coaching, mentoring, and support to individuals with neurodiverse, mental health, and developmental disabilities as they work toward their employment and post-secondary education goals. Using a person-centered approach, this role partners with participants to build workplace skills, increase independence, and achieve meaningful career outcomes.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by empowering individuals to reach their potential, develop lasting employment skills, and build greater independence within their communities. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as well as travel throughout the metro area.

As an Employment Coach, you will:

  • Provide person-centered, responsive approaches and interventions to program participants to be independently successful in their career goals.
  • Implement job aids/accommodations for individual’s success in employment.
  • Provide on-site job-coaching supports to ensure successful employment and job retention during participants’ scheduled work shifts.
  • Effectively implement employment service plans while developing strong working relationships with participants.
  • Engage in respectful, open communication and develop effective working relationships with clients, responsible parties, community employers and other team members to provide high-quality support, while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Network and collaborate with community employers to create opportunities for program participants.
  • Complete required documentation and monthly reporting per program and regulation requirements.
  • Attend trainings and workshops to gain and apply skills to position.
