Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm in Los Angeles to hire an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel. The attorney will handle a sophisticated practice spanning employment litigation, workplace counseling, policy development, and compliance for employer clients in California.

The role emphasizes strategic counseling, high-stakes litigation defense, and meaningful client interaction, with mentoring and involvement in case strategy within a premier labor

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
• At least six years of labor and employment experience.
• Strong written advocacy, research, and policy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in labor and employment litigation matters.
• Advise clients on compliance with California employment laws.
• Handle wage/hour disputes and related claims.
• Counsel on workforce reductions, terminations, and layoffs.
• Advise on workplace violence prevention requirements.
• Conduct and support internal workplace investigations.
• Draft and maintain employee handbooks and policies.
• Develop practical solutions to complex employment issues.
• Manage matters independently with cross-practice collaboration.
