Job summary

CSULB is seeking an Employment Recruitment & Programs Coordinator to leadEmployer engagement initiatives, coordinate recruitment events, and expand internship and career opportunities for students and alumni at California State University, Long Beach.

The role offers collaboration with external partners, development of program calendars, and advisory services to students, with a focus on equity and inclusive practice. A bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
• Three years of professional experience in student services or related field
• Strong knowledge of employment trends, career development, job search strategies, and career services systems

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and execute Employer recruitment presentations and events; develop and implement policies for employer recruitment goals.
• Establish and build relationships with a wide range of employers; maintain regular communication with targeted employers.
• Coordinate and review CareerLINK job/event postings to maximize student engagement and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Develop a student professional development event calendar and lead internal communications for events.
• Provide career advising and employment assistance to students and alumni; guide them in identifying skills, values, and goals.
