Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company seeks a Seasonal Employee Shuttle Driver for Solitude Mountain Resort. Drive employee shuttles between Salt Lake Valley, Solitude and surrounding areas, ensuring safety and courteous service. You’ll assist with parking directions, answer questions, and support other shuttle duties as needed.

Requirements include a valid license, clean driving record, ability to work holidays and weekends, and the stamina to operate in varying weather conditions.

Position

Do you like scenic drives? We are looking for drivers to safely operate our employee shuttle vans between the Salt Lake Valley and Solitude and around our resort. Drivers must have a safe driving record and a willingness to provide employees with information about these new routes and provide courteous service.

Specific Job Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record to operate any company or UTA vehicle
• Must be able to safely operate company vehicles when assigned
• Must have sufficient communication skills to answer questions and the physical ability necessary to complete all other shuttle service duties and responsibilities
• Willing to work flexible work schedules that may include holidays, evenings and weekends
• Must have the desire and ability to tolerate, and drive in, varying weather conditions for extended periods of time including cold temperatures, blowing snow and snow packed roads. Some night shifts may be required.
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• The ability to meet and/or exceed satisfactory performance levels in all duties as assigned

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Open to accepting other shuttle service duties and responsibilities within the department, including providing transportation to employees.
• Communicate in a pleasant and respectful manner with fellow employees
• Assist employees and guests with parking directions and demonstrate knowledge of the resort for any other guest questions
• Possess and implement a thorough knowledge of appropriate procedures
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Safely drive employees and to and around the resort, Big Cottonwood Canyon and the Salt Lake Valley as directed.
• Assist with other assigned duties
