Job summary

The Legal Aid Society in New York City is seeking a Human Resources professional who will support employee relations, investigations, and ADA accommodations. You will collaborate with HR and management to address performance issues and ensure policy adherence.

Responsibilities include conducting investigations, handling case management, and providing guidance on organizational policies and procedures while promoting an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of work experience in employee relations, investigations, employment law, conflict resolution and disciplinary actions or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct employee investigations and case management with reporting.
• Provide investigative files, summaries and recommendations based on facts and evidence.
• Coordinate ADA accommodation requests and resolutions with supervisors and employees.
• Coach managers on performance issues and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with HR and General Counsel on employee relations matters.
