Job summary

The Tohono O'odham Nation is seeking an experienced HR professional to integrate organizational mission and values with employee perceptions of the workplace. You will act as a liaison between employees and management, delivering professional employee relations support and training as needed.

Under limited supervision, you will help ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations while maintaining excellent internal customer service and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related field required.
• Four years of HR experience in employee mediation, employment conflicts, grievances.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and tribal employment regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional service to managers and directors in employee relations.
• Supports investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and issue resolution.
• Assists in case preparation for employment relation cases.
• Delivers employee relations training when required.
• Monitors service levels and improves employee relations processes.
• Maintains positive working relationships with staff and public.
• Coordinates employee relations programs and communications.
• Ensures policy implementation is consistent and justified.
