Job summary

Abbott Park, IL-based HR Consultant role in Abbott's CHR Corporate Human Resources delivers enterprise-wide Employee Relations support. This position provides a single point of contact for efficiently delivering accessible ER services and interfaces across multiple businesses and countries to ensure policy compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 0–2 years of corporate HR experience, with strong communication skills and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0-2+ years’ experience within a corporate HR environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work confidentially and professionally with all levels of employees.
• Software knowledge a plus: Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Workday (or other system of record experience highly preferred), Salesforce (or other CRM experience highly preferred).
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Assists Office of Ethics & Compliance and Security with investigations related to Employee Relations (ER)issues.
• Effectively and accurately maintains confidential ER data in both systems and paper files.
• Ensures professional service is provided at all times in accordance with the ER Service Level Agreement.
• Independently resolves Tier 1 cases and manages Tier 2 with guidance from manager.
• Understands customer’s business and ER requirements.
• Proactively brings forward solutions to address business requirements.
• Meets defined ER service level agreement.
• Implements solutions as directed and executes elements of defined projects.

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.

Executes the delivery of services to provide a single point of contact for efficiently providing highly accessible expert Employee Relations. Interfaces across multiple businesses and or countries and ensures compliance with all relevant country laws, regulations, policies and practices.

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00
