Job summary

Abbott Park, IL-based CHR Corporate HR team seeks an Employee Relations professional to deliver accessible ER services as a single point of contact across businesses and countries.

You will ensure compliance, investigate ER issues, maintain confidential data, and meet ER SLAs while independently handling Tier 1 and guiding Tier 2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 0-2+ years’ experience within a corporate HR environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work confidentially and professionally with all levels of employees.
• Software knowledge a plus: Excel, Workday, Salesforce.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a single point of contact for accessible Employee Relations services across multiple businesses and/or countries.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
• Assist Ethics & Compliance and Security with ER investigations.
• Maintain confidential ER data in systems and paper files.
• Meet ER service level agreements and provide professional service at all times.
• Independently resolve Tier 1 cases and manage Tier 2 with guidance from management.
• Understand customer’s business and ER requirements, and address them proactively.
• Implement solutions and execute defined ER projects.

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the CHR Corporate Human Resources division.

Executes the delivery of services to provide a single point of contact for efficiently providing highly accessible expert Employee Relations. Interfaces across multiple businesses and or countries and ensures compliance with all relevant country laws, regulations, policies and practices.

What You’ll Work On

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Assists Office of Ethics & Compliance and Security with investigations related to Employee Relations (ER)issues.
• Effectively and accurately maintains confidential ER data in both systems and paper files.
• Ensures professional service is provided at all times in accordance with the ER Service Level Agreement.
• Independently resolves Tier 1 cases and manages Tier 2 with guidance from manager.
• Understands customer’s business and ER requirements.
• Proactively brings forward solutions to address business requirements.
• Meets defined ER service level agreement.
• Implements solutions as directed and executes elements of defined projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0-2+ years’ experience within a corporate HR environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work confidentially and professionally with all levels of employees.
• Software knowledge a plus: Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Workday (or other system of record experience highly preferred), Salesforce (or other CRM experience highly preferred).
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
