Job summary

Valley Bank in Morristown, NJ seeks a Sr People Relations Partner to provide expert advice on employee relations and to drive organizational effectiveness.

You will collaborate with Strategic People Partners, leaders, and HR to manage investigations, corrective actions, accommodations, and policy issues.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in HR/Business and at least 10 years of experience; a Master's in HR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in employee relations and HR.

Responsibilities

• Advise on creation, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring Valley's practices reflect high standards and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and policy compliance.
• Partner with strategic partners and leaders to develop corrective action plans for consistency and alignment with policies and laws.
• Manage accommodation requests in line with ADA and related regulations, delivering practical solutions.
• Support bank through position eliminations, including planning, communication, and compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain oversight of the case management tool, monitor entries for accuracy, and analyze trends.

The Sr People Relations Partner provides expert advice and strategic support on employee relations to drive organizational effectiveness while proactively mitigating risk. This role collaborates with Valley's Strategic People Partners, people leaders, leadership, and other areas of HR to manage corrective actions, investigations, accommodations, position eliminations, and policy issues,

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Advise the creation, implementation, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring Valley's practices reflect the highest standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough investigations into workplace complaints, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance with bank policies and legal standards.
• Partner with strategic partners and people leaders to develop and implement corrective action plans, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with internal policies and employment laws.
• Manage accommodation requests in compliance with ADA and other applicable regulations. Work with people leaders and associates to implement reasonable solutions that support productivity and inclusiveness.
• Support the bank through position elimination processes, including planning, communication, and compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Maintain oversight of our case management tool, monitor entries for accuracy, and analyze trends and recommend proactive strategies.

Required Experience

• Master's degree in Human Resources.
