Aquent in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, investigations, and workplace compliance. You will lead confidential inquiries, guide leaders through corrective action, and help build a fair, respectful culture across a diverse workforce.

This hybrid role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of HR experience with a focus on investigations and employment law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, psychology or related field.
• 3–5 years HR experience with emphasis on employee relations, investigations or compliance.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and preparing findings.
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Strong conflict resolution, interviewing and problem‑solving skills.
• Discretion handling confidential information and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations and policy interpretation.
• Collaborate with management to address performance, attendance, and conflicts.
• Provide consultation on corrective action and disciplinary processes.
• Conduct impartial investigations into policy violations and complaints.
• Prepare investigation reports and executive summaries with recommendations.
• Maintain confidential case files and track trends in ER metrics.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Security and Labor Relations as needed.
