What You Will Do:

The Employee Relations Investigations Manager leads a centralized team of Employee Relations Investigators responsible for conducting fair, timely, and thorough investigations into workplace concerns across the organization. Operating within a centralized Employee Relations model, this role ensures that all formal investigations are owned, managed, and executed by the investigations team using consistent methodologies, documentation practices, and quality standards. This leader is accountable for the integrity, neutrality, and defensibility of investigations, while balancing employee experience, organizational risk, and business context. The Investigations Manager partners closely with Employee Relations Consultants, HR Business Partners, Employment Counsel, Ethics & Compliance, and senior leadership to ensure appropriate intake, triage, execution, and outcome management of sensitive matters. Lead, coach, and develop a centralized team of Employee Relations Investigators operating in a pooled model. Standardize investigative methodologies, interview techniques, and evidence evaluation practices. Assign cases based on investigator capacity, complexity, experience, and potential conflicts of interest. Establish and reinforce expectations around neutrality and objectivity, investigative rigor, timeliness, documentation quality, professionalism and discretion. Monitor investigator workload, case progression, and overall team capacity. Ensure consistent execution of investigations from intake through closure. Conduct quality reviews of investigation outputs (e.g., summaries, reports, findings). Maintain audit-ready investigation files that withstand internal review, legal scrutiny, and external challenge. Oversee centralized intake processes in partnership with ER Consultants, HRBPs, Compliance, and Legal. Evaluate severity, risk, and scope of allegations to determine investigation approach. Prioritize cases based on urgency, legal exposure, employee impact, and reputational risk. Drive continuous improvement in investigation processes, efficiency, and quality. Partner with ER Operations on workflow optimization and reporting.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of related HR experience. Extensive experience in conducting workplace investigations, including complex and high‑risk matters. Prior experience managing or leading investigators or HR/ER professionals. Strong knowledge of investigation techniques, evidence evaluation, credibility assessment, documentation standards, and employment practices. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state EEO laws and state HR policies. Proven track record of working independently to achieve key results, while keeping management and colleagues abreast of critical issues. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communications. Collaboration skills and experience working with other internal human capital and legal stakeholders Experience acting as a trusted advisor to leaders, peers, and employees with a consultative approach Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of HR technologies, including HRIS and/or Case Management Tool Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and data from multiple sources and summarize investigative findings clearly and concisely in writing Ability to work independently and utilize resources to solve a variety of complex, highly sensitive people issues Ability to prioritize work in fast paced, highly matrixed environment.

What Would Be Nice to Have:

Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field Experience in global investigations or multi‑jurisdictional environments. Certified Employee Relations Professional (CERP) Certification, HR Certification, including PHR and SPHR
