Job summary

BronxCare Health System is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to act as a trusted advisor, lead investigations, and manage all aspects of employee relations across the organization. The role supports a positive workplace culture aligned with the organization’s mission and values, ensuring equity, due process, and organizational integrity.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Detail oriented and able to manage high-volume workload.
• Experience with healthcare or hospital systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal and state labor laws (NLRA, FLSA, ADA, Title VII).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee relations, including complaints and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct prompt, thorough investigations into employee complaints (discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misconduct).
• Prepare investigation summaries and recommended outcomes.
• Collaborate with management to implement corrective actions and monitor follow-through.
• Ensure compliance with NYC, NYS, and federal labor laws and develop training for managers.
