Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Prior grocery experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to questions/requests/complaints politely.
• Supervise and evaluate grocery department staff, including hiring, firing, discipline, and promotions.
• Orient/train new grocery staff and retrain as needed.
• Develop weekly labor schedules for all grocery department employees.
• Implement weekly display plans for end-aisle merchandising and ads.
• Supervise inventory, ordering, and stock to minimize out-of-stocks.
• Prepare backroom for merchandise receipt and stock movement; ensure proper labeling and shelving.
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance of store floors, carts, restrooms, and displays.
• Ensure correct pricing, signage, and shelf labeling; manage damaged/returnable items.
