Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations, receive freight, inspect materials, and prepare orders for delivery. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficient stock management in a growing employee-owned company.

The position requires forklift experience, familiarity with electrical products, and solid English communication skills. A valid driver's license and basic SAP/Windows knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems is also preferred.
• If the employee will be driving, candidate must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license; medical certification may be required.
• PC working knowledge for Windows, internet, email and SAP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming freight and checks the material for damages or shortages.
• Distributes material to the proper stock locations.
• Fills special orders and/or backorders as material is received.
• Follows-up with appropriate departments, carriers, and/or vendors on receiving discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
• Checks and packs material to be delivered.
• Maintains inventory stock locations and accurate labeling and locator system.
• Fills orders for delivery to customers.
• Maintains daily driver logs and vehicle inspection sheets, as appropriate.
