Job summary

The Bobbitt Group, a 100% employee-owned commercial and industrial general contractor based in the Carolinas, seeks a strategic VDC/BIM leader to advance our technology-driven construction delivery. You will drive BIM coordination, 4D scheduling, and model-based estimating while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidate has strong communication, adaptability to evolving tech, and a passion for delivering superior client experiences.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or 2 years of model based design experience.
Developing expertise in Revit and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
Knowledge of Navisworks, Twinmotion, and Bluebeam.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

Solve construction problems by leveraging technology, including clash detection.
Lead BIM coordination using Navisworks, BIM 360, Glue and Field, Generative Design, and related tools.
Build 4D schedules and sequencing, support submittals, and plan site logistics with current tech.
Lead all detailed modeling efforts, update/refine BIM templates.
Assist estimating with model-based quantity takeoffs.
Coordinate with project teams to respond to RFPs, deliverables, client expectations, and codes.
Support laser scanning, model conversion to Revit, drone capture, 3D printing, and other coordination.
Lead improvement of VDC standards, training, and best practices.
Identify workflow best practices and improve construction delivery with efficient tools.
Keep project teams informed of technology updates.
Develop knowledge of design, estimating, and construction.
