Job summary

LJA is seeking a Program Manager in Transportation to recruit municipal, state, and regional agency clients while delivering advanced traffic operations and ITS programs. You will bridge the gap between TMC engineering teams and public/private stakeholders to improve regional mobility and safety.

You’ll build trusted advisor relationships with agency leadership, coordinate incident management, and oversee daily program delivery, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or related field.
• 8+ years in traffic ops, ITS engineering, or TMC management.
• Strong understanding of ATMS and video distribution frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with state DOTs and transit agencies.
• Lead strategic pursuits for TMC operations and ITS projects.
• Develop proposals, funding applications, and client presentations.
• Advise agency leadership, first responders, and traffic engineers.
• Coordinate incident management and data-sharing partnerships.
• Oversee daily TMC program delivery, including traffic monitoring and deployments.
• Track budgets, resources, and service levels; provide leadership with updates.
