LJA Transportation is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical and engineering support, including proposals and cost estimates. The role involves traffic and transportation systems analysis, project feasibility assessments, and managing scope, schedule, and budgets for FDOT and local projects.

You will lead project staff, mentor others, and collaborate with teams across offices while contributing to business development and delivering high-quality transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and PE license required.
• Experience with traffic impact analysis and traffic management plans.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and SYNCHRO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic and transportation systems analysis, planning and design.
• Assess project feasibility based on data analysis.
• Manage scope, schedule and budget performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the group including business development.
• Mentor direct reports and share knowledge with others.
• Lead traffic signal projects, signing, striping and ITS plans.
