Job summary

Mattern & Craig, an employee-owned firm in North Carolina, is seeking a Survey Supervisor to lead the Survey Division. You will influence project outcomes and shape the firm’s direction within a tight-knit team that values initiative and growth.

As a licensed PLS with 6+ years of field surveying or supervision experience, you will oversee day-to-day operations, budgets, and proposals, while advancing within a knowledgeable, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in North Carolina or able to obtain licensure within 90 days.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying or related field from an accredited college or university, or an associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of practical field surveying and/or surveying supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day surveying operations and workload, scheduling field and office tasks, ensuring projects stay on time and budget.
• Resolve project-related concerns and consult with the Principal in Charge or other managers when scheduling issues arise.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets and schedules for surveying projects and track team performance.
• Assist with preparation of fee proposals and Statements of Qualifications for new or potential work.
