Job summary

OWN, Inc. in Joplin, MO is growing its Survey team and seeks a Team Leader to guide field crews and shape how projects are delivered and the team's growth.

You’ll lead field and office crews, help keep projects on scope, schedule, and budget, and collaborate with engineers and clients. This role is for someone already leading in some capacity—mentoring, problem-solving, and driving improvements across field work and coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience leading survey crews or coordinating field work
• A few years of experience in land surveying (crew chief, party chief, or similar)
• PLS is a plus, but not required - we’ll support you if it’s a goal
• Comfort working across field and office environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A sense of ownership: you care about the work, your team, and doing things the right way

We are growing our Survey team in Joplin, MO and looking for a Team Leader to help lead what’s next.

This role is for someone who is already leading in some capacity - running crews, guiding field work, helping solve problems - and is ready to take a bigger step. Not just doing the work, but helping shape how it’s delivered and how the team grows.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll play a key role in delivering survey work from field to finish, supporting crews, staying close to projects, and helping ensure things run smoothly across the board.
