Job summary

WithersRavenel seeks a skilled SUE Technician to support our Subsurface Utility Engineering team. You will assist the SUE Party Chief in locating underground utilities using EM and GPR technologies, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

This role requires travel to out-of-town projects and collaboration with project managers to deliver high-quality field data and documentation. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to work outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience locating underground utilities using SUE equipment (EM and GPR).
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town projects.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• General understanding of utility infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SUE Party Chief and Project Managers to meet project goals and expectations.
• Perform SUE field services for internal and external clients.
• Accurately collect and document field data, ensuring quality and compliance with company and client standards.
• Operate EM and GPR equipment safely and effectively.
• Support vacuum excavation activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly equipped company vehicle.
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and teamwork in all interactions.
