Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Real Estate Services Title Agent II in Glen Allen, VA. You will perform title research, review defects, and prepare reports to support project delivery for real property transactions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years experience in title work, paralegal duties, and knowledge of mortgage lending. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to collaborate with managers and staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in right of way, title, paralegal, real property law or mortgage lending.
• Ability to understand real estate documents such as appraisal, environmental, survey, deeds, easements, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, court records, assessments, probates and other matters of record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational and planning skills.
• Specific industry regulatory knowledge a plus; databases and GIS familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic title research and preparation of project reports.
• Review title defects and escalate to Project Manager or underwriter as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of title research activities.
• Work with team members and train junior staff when needed.
• Escalate title issues to RES Agent and Project Manager as required.
