Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Production Operator for 1st shift (7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday) at our Bridgeton, MO plant. You will load components into automated assembly, record production data, and ensure quality per instructions while maintaining a clean work area.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of manufacturing experience. Domestic candidates proficient in basic data entry and communication will thrive in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operator instructions and quality sheets.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
• Good verbal and written communication; able to work in a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load component parts into automated assembly and record production data.
• Pack per instruction, label products, and document issues with parts or machinery.
• Escalate down machinery and quality issues to Team Leaders or Supervisors.
• Ensure products comply with check sheets and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; support audits as needed.
• Identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
• Cross-train on various work centers as required.
