You will lead staff, manage safety programs, and optimize resources to deliver efficient order fulfillment and excellent service.

The role emphasizes cost control, process improvement, and collaboration with management teams for strategic direction within a lumber and building materials environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a supervisor position with knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
• Prefer at least 7 years experience in Lumber & Building Materials Industry.
• Follow safety expectations set by company safety policies.
• Ability to communicate ideas based on job knowledge and expertise.
• Operate at a steady, even pace to promote accuracy and quality.
• High level of customer service and team-oriented communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate the seamless operations of Weekes Forest Products distribution centers.
• Improve performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departments.
• Lead and develop staff; participate in divisional management meetings.
• Provide safety training on a consistent basis.
• Oversee inbound/outbound freight and schedule deliveries.
• Develop and maintain warehouse management systems and resource use.
• Recruit, hire and train the best talent; monitor performance via annual reviews.
• Approve and submit timecards; manage procedural compliance.
