Urschel Laboratories, Inc. invites applications for a Housekeeping Manager at Grand Gardner Hotel in Valparaiso, Indiana. This hands-on role leads housekeeping, laundry, and public areas, coordinating with Front Office, Maintenance and Sales to support a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate will have hospitality leadership experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with hotel software such as Cloudbeds.

Qualifications

• Experience leading housekeeping or hospitality management is preferred.
• Ability to motivate and develop a team across housekeeping, laundry, and public areas.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support housekeeping, laundry, and public area operations.
• Recruit, train, coach, and schedule housekeeping team members.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards across guest rooms, public areas, banquet spaces, and back-of-house locations.
• Conduct room inspections and quality audits to ensure standards are met.
• Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments for seamless service.
• Manage inventories, supplies, and department expenses.
• Respond to guest requests and service recovery situations.
• Plan deep cleaning and preventative maintenance initiatives.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
