Job summary

Haley Ward, Inc. in Maine is seeking a skilled Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Manager to lead QA inspections for landfill construction projects and to implement and maintain CQA programs across multiple sites.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, regulators, owners, and contractors to verify conformance with project specifications and contract documents. The successful candidate will oversee subcontracted materials testing laboratories, manage documentation, and support project

Qualifications

• Experience in professional engineering services, sitework, earthwork, landfill construction, or related environmental construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Certifications in Soils and Geosynthetics (preference given to GCI-ICP)

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance inspections throughout the landfill construction process to ensure compliance with regulations and conformance with project specifications.
• Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain construction quality standards.
• Collaborate with construction teams to address any quality issues and provide guidance on corrective actions.
• Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of quality inspection results and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and improvement of quality assurance programs to enhance construction quality and efficiency.
• Assist with construction progress meetings and report CQA findings on a regular basis.
• Assist with preparation of Final Construction Reports.
