Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our Nashville, Knoxville, TN, or Bowling Green, KY offices. You will design site civil, drainage, wastewater, and utility systems, lead project teams, and support permitting and bidding processes.

The role emphasizes collaborative problem-solving, client coordination, and opportunities for growth in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates hold a PE and have 5+ years of civil design experience in municipal and industrial sectors, with Civil 3D/CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with Civil 3D/CAD experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of civil design experience, preferably with an Engineering consulting firm.
• Current PE in the respective state.
• Experience with civil design for municipal and industrial clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a solid work ethic.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring others and guiding project teams.
• Regional travel is required; national travel for client meetings is likely.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead engineering design efforts for site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to civil site design, solid waste management and landfill design, and development of plans and profiles.
• Develop designs and deliverables to support permitting, site development, specs, and bid documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate challenges and devise practical solutions.
• Coordinate design and construction meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, including pre-bid meetings.
• Plan, schedule, and execute detailed phases of engineering work to meet objectives and timelines.
• Support business development through proposals, marketing, project management, and client engagement.
