Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join a team focused on environmental and engineering solutions. The role supports civil site design for municipal and industrial clients across our Nashville, Knoxville, TN office network and beyond.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, have 5+ years of civil design experience, and can manage multiple projects while mentoring others. Travel to regional and national sites is expected, with a culture emphasizing growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and Civil 3D/CAD experience.
• Minimum 5 years of civil design experience, preferably with an engineering consulting firm.
• Current PE in the respective state.
• Experience with civil engineering design for municipal and industrial clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design efforts for site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to civil site design, solid waste management and landfill design, and development of plans and profiles.
• Develop designs and deliverables to support permitting, site development, technical specs, and bid documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Coordinate design and construction meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors, including pre-bid meetings.
• Plan, schedule, and execute detailed phases of engineering work to meet objectives and timelines.
• Support business development through proposals, marketing, and ongoing client engagement.
