The role emphasizes supervising staff, intercompany accounting, lease calculations, and active involvement in annual audits, while adhering to GAAP and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervision.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Compliance with state and federal laws; strong data manipulation skills.
• Initiative based on familiarity with org and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end closing activities, journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and analysis.
• Analyze financial reports and records.
• Assign tasks to accounting staff and review work as appropriate.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for Intercompany Accounting.
• Participate in preparation for the annual audit.
• Make recommendations on procedures and asset and reserve accounting.
• Manage the fixed asset system.
• Collaborate with facilities and real estate teams on lease calculations.
• Develop staff through performance management and training.
• Apply GAAP in all transactions and policies.
