Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking one or more Employee & Labor Relations Officers to join the University Human Resources team in Corvallis. Roles include ELR Officer 1 or ELR Officer 2, full-time, with responsibilities spanning employee and labor relations across multiple groups and bargaining agreements.

Selected candidates will advise on policy and collective bargaining matters, support program reviews, and collaborate with various HR partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a closely related field.
• Two years of professional level Human Resources experience or strongly transferable work experience.
• Commitment to inclusive excellence and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Support program reviews and recommend process improvements to internal operations and controls.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise and stakeholders on oversight of HR processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for employee and labor relations matters for assigned groups.
• Assist with negotiations, mediation, and fact-finding as needed.
• Support strike coordination and grievance-related activities.
• Work with offices across OSU on related compliance and programming.
