We’re looking for a dedicated Employee Health & Safety Coordinator to champion our safety programs and ensure a safe environment for our employees, clients, and the community. Job Duties
Safety Program Development:
• Design, implement, and improve safety policies and procedures.
• Align all safety practices with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with management to establish safety goals and performance metrics.
Training & Education:
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
• Equip the team with resources and materials to stay informed on best practices.
• Foster a culture where safety is understood and prioritized.
Compliance & Inspections:
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations on all projects.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify risks.
• Create and implement corrective action plans.
Incident Management:
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations.
• Document findings and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure incidents are reported in line with regulatory requirements.
Emergency Preparedness:
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Lead drills and training exercises to prepare the team for emergency situations.
Promote a Safety Culture:
• Encourage reporting of safety concerns and suggestions.
• Recognize and reward employees for prioritizing safety.
• Build a shared sense of responsibility across teams.
What We’re Looking For
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, BCSP, IASHEP, NCCER).MSHAis a plus +
• Minimum 3 years of experience in safety management, preferably in electrical or underground construction.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
• High-risk activity training certifications (e.g., Energy Isolation, Trenching, Confined Space).
What You’ll Need
• Ability to navigate industrial construction environments.
• Comfort working on elevated platforms, confined spaces, or noisy areas.
• Physical capability to climb, lift up-to 40 pounds, and perform hands-on safety evaluations.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability (if driving is required).
