Job summary

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is seeking a dedicated kitchen associate to prep and assist in the Employee Dining Room (EDR). You will help stock, label, and portion meals for team members while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires attention to safety, strong communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will coordinate with kitchen leadership to ensure timely prep, support the day shift, and help with salads and fresh items.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in food service.
• Must obtain a current Food Handler's Card.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Clear, positive communication with guests and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Keep Employee Dining Room (EDR) safe, clean, and welcoming for guests and team members.
• Prepare and assist with food items for the EDR with fresh options.
• Stock and organize storage in the main kitchen to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow prep lists and assist with culinary tasks under supervision.
• Handle prep duties such as slicing, dicing, chopping, and breading meats, fish, and vegetables, with proper labeling and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
• Support other kitchen areas as needed to help the culinary team succeed.
• Coordinate with the day shift attendee to complete prep and assist with salads and fresh items for the EDR.
• Monitor product rotation, labeling, and temperature logs for quality and consistency.
• Keep food stations and common areas clean, sanitized, and ready for team members.
