About the Role

We are looking for an Employee Communications Advisor to help us create engaging communications that our employees want and need. This role will play a critical part in sharing our work in unique, creative ways.

What you will do
  • Partner closely with members of the employee communications team to create comprehensive plans for key topics across the company or business lines
  • Bring strategic plans to life by crafting content across several internal channels, including intranet posts, emails, digital signs, and leader presentations
  • Work with creative partners (internal resources and external agencies) as needed to bring your story ideas to life with multimedia assets
  • Follow standardized processes to ensure content is created, reviewed and approved in a timely manner across channels
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (in communications, journalism, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience
  • Experience in employee communications, content creation, editing, or related areas
  • Experience working with subject matter and translating technical content into digestible communications for broad audiences
  • Expert level writing and editing skills
  • Expert level storytelling skills
  • Initiative and are a self-starter
  • A journalistic curiosity
  • Familiarity and interest in issues related to energy, economics, the environment, sustainability, corporate citizenship and government relations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to apply learning to other database environments
  • Strong communication and project management skills with an eye for creative design and compelling writing
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
  • Ability to translate stories into a variety of multimedia formats including infographics, pictographs, lists, videos, animations, etc.
