Job Title: Employee Benefits Senior Consultant

Brown & Brown is seeking a Employee Benefits Senior Consultant to join our growing team in Chicago, IL.

The Employee Benefits Senior Consultant will act as the primary contact in a consulting capacity, administering client benefit marketing, renewals, and daily service functions. This role will develop and manage a client block of business, pursue additional revenue opportunities with the Relationship Manager, and assist in managing the Account Team as a resource to the department.

How You Will Contribute:

1. Fully manage book of business, retention, and growth.
2. Develop and execute client benefit strategies.
3. Advise clients independently on all areas of compliance.
4. Perform compliance, benchmarking, renewal & marketing, reporting & analytics functions with minimal guidance.
5. Lead strategic resource planning, financial strategy, and client escalations.
6. Monitor, prepare, and review monthly financial reports; analyze activity and large claim details for clients.
7. Prepare expert-level financial and underwriting exhibits, including projections, large claim analysis, stop loss, demographics, IBNR, etc.
8. Develop reporting requirements and customize reports as needed.
9. Lead client meetings, presentations, and onboarding processes.
10. Participate in market meetings, seminars, and training programs.
11. Provide guidance and training to Consultants, Account Managers, and Analysts.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Must obtain and maintain an active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• 9+ years of employee benefits experience.
• 4+ years of financial experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel (strong to expert level).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle routine or periodic travel, including driving personal or rental vehicles.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually/hourly, based on experience and location.
