Job summary

Henderson Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate in Pittsburgh to originate new-logo opportunities for our Employee Benefits practice.

You will learn from experienced team members, develop prospecting and consultative selling skills, and build relationships with executive-level buyers. The role offers a development track toward a Sales Consultant/Producer within 2–3 years, with mentorship and performance incentives as part of the career pathway.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of health insurance or related industry experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Exposure to Salesforce.com or another CRM system - preferred
• B2B sales experience in a complex decision-making environment - preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Proactively source and schedule new-business meetings through disciplined prospecting
• Identify target organizations, buying windows, decision-makers, and influencers
• Maintain segmented prospect lists by industry, size, renewal timing, and competitive landscape
• Partner with internal marketing and sales resources to execute targeted outreach and campaign follow-up
• Drive attendance to seminars, events, and thought-leadership initiatives
• Track all activity in Salesforce to create visibility, accountability, and momentum
• Develop working knowledge of employee benefits strategy, market dynamics, and carrier solutions
• Understand Henderson Brothers’ value proposition and consultative sales approach
• Attend industry events, workshops, and training sessions to elevate expertise
• Establish professional relationships that become a durable source of referrals
