First United Bank is seeking a results-driven benefits sales professional to collaborate with owners and executives to tailor employee benefit and HR programs. The role emphasizes new business development and building a broad network to drive growth.

You will manage the client life-cycle from lead generation to proposal and close, maintain relationships with insurance decision-makers, and actively participate in industry associations to create opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years employee benefits experience, preferably in sales.
• Proven ability to develop a sales pipeline and deliver strategies.
• Knowledge of health, dental, vision, life, disability products and worksite solutions.
• Proven track record of client-centric sales and cross-selling.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business generation and manage the client lifecycle from lead to close and post-sales service.
• Collaborate with Sales Leader to set goals and with client service to ensure superior service.
• Identify and qualify middle-market prospects from potential clients.
• Maintain a strong new-business pipeline aligned with company goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with insurance and risk management decision-makers.
• Lead participation in targeted industry or community associations/boards.
• Execute sales strategies and develop unique prospect programs.
• Provide proactive advice on exposures and strategies to improve the client’s bottom line.
• Support renewal process and participate in renewal meetings and strategy feedback.
• Participate in and lead client service meetings.
