Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for ill or convalescing patients within the clinic setting. The LPN may work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.

The role involves administering medications, monitoring patients, recording vital signs, and providing basic care as part of a health care team. Arkansas licensure is required, with prior clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate from vocational school or an associate degree in nursing is required.
• Current Arkansas state licensure required.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications or starts intravenous fluids and documents times on patients’ charts.
• Observes patients, records changes and reports adverse reactions or changes in condition.
• Measures and records vital signs (height, weight, temp., BP, pulse, respiration).
• Provides basic patient care (e.g., dressing wounds, catheterizations, enemas) as directed.
• Collaborates with health care team to assess needs, plan care and implement interventions.
• Assembles and uses equipment (catheters, oxygen sources, etc.).
• Answers patient calls and determines how to assist them.
