Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements.
• Maturity for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, the client's family and agency personnel.
• Sincere interest in and a sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking and feeding.
• Assist with medications reminders and care plan following Nursing Supervisor guidance.
• Maintain a healthy, safe environment and provide nutritional and environmental support.
• Position the client as instructed and assist with treatments and therapy as ordered by physician.
• Report changes in client condition to the agency or nursing supervisor as necessary.
• Use of medical supplies and equipment when appropriate.
• Provide emotional support and encourage client independence.
