Job summary

Always Compassionate Home Care in New York seeks a compassionate Home Health Aide to follow a physician-approved care plan and support clients at home.

You will assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and medication reminders, maintain a safe environment, and document care and changes for supervision.

Must have a Home Health Aide certificate and be 18 or older; private pay options are available and hourly pay starts at $19.65.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a Home Health Aide certificate from an approved training program.
• Must maintain in-service education to keep the certificate.
• Exhibits empathy and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow the care plan prepared by the Nursing Supervisor.
• Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking and feeding.
• Position the client as instructed; assist with certain treatments.
• Remind client to take medications and document care.
• Assist with bills only when authorized and documented.
• Run errands when authorized; chart daily.
• Report changes to the client’s condition to the supervisor.
• Use medical supplies safely and appropriately.
• Provide emotional support and encourage client independence.
