Job summary

Agape Home seeks a Resident Life Partner to support daily living activities for residents in a compassionate, person-centered manner. You will assist with personal care, meals, medications, and household tasks while promoting dignity and independence in a calm, respectful environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, observation of health status, and participation in quality-improvement efforts to enhance resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Be reliable, flexible, patient, caring, and able to maintain a sense of humor.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and empathy toward frail and memory-impaired individuals.
• Be physically capable of providing hands-on assistance to residents.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, bathing, eating, and toileting.
• Recognize residents' abilities and encourage independence while providing needed help.
• Respond promptly and compassionately to residents' needs.
• Supervise and protect residents, maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Administer and chart medications as ordered; maintain records.
• Prepare meals and assist with dining and housekeeping tasks.
• Support activities and quality-of-life initiatives for residents.
