Job summary

LUINC in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Community Support Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered services under the Community Support Options program. You will work with individuals served, families, advocates, and the CSO team, with flexibility for evenings and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
Must communicate effectively in English—written and spoken.
Must not have disqualifying felony records or substantiated abuse/neglect in Missouri.
Must have a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Must demonstrate safe practices and professional standards.
Must obtain a Class E driver’s license during new hire orientation and maintain required auto insurance.
Must receive Seasonal Flu Vaccination.

Responsibilities

Provide person-centered support per each individual’s PCSP and ISP/BSP as needed.
Document electronically according to program requirements and agency policies.
Attend medical appointments and provide appropriate follow-up.
Support individuals with informed choice and daily living activities.
Coordinate with CSO staff, families/advocates, and Support Coordinators.
Maintain health, safety, and confidentiality in all duties.
