Job summary

Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a Community Support Professional to provide direct support to people with disabilities in both large and small groups within community-based settings.

You will help individuals pursue meaningful day activities that build skills in daily living, volunteering, and employment, while using a Coach Approach to empower participants. The CSP will maintain documentation in the iCareManager system, coordinate transportation, and collaborate with the program team to achieve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred
• Familiarity with Montgomery County and/or Prince George’s County activities and resources
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation and willingness to drive company vehicles

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based settings
• Complete required daily service documentation including time and attendance in iCareManager (iCM)
• Update and correct information entered into iCM within required timeframes
• Maintain knowledge of health needs and risks of assigned persons and document accordingly
• Assist with transportation in agency vehicles for community outings and daily activities
• Deliver person-centered, customized services utilizing a Coach Approach to help individuals build problem-solving skills
• Participate in travel training and help individuals navigate communities independently
