Job summary

luinc in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with daily living, personal care, community integration and safety.

You will follow Individual Support Plans, document accurately, attend medical appointments, supervise activities, and help residents with meals, transportation and schedule management. Weekend differential applies; orientation/training provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and provide proof of high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must communicate effectively in English – both in writing and orally.
• Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felony and must not have been substantiated for abuse or neglect in the state of Missouri, as recorded by the Department of Mental Health's Employee Disqualification List.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, person-centered services in daily living activities and safety.
• Document all required information accurately and in accordance with laws and program requirements.
• Attend medical appointments for residents and coordinate with health coordinators.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow financial policies for funds used.
