Job summary

You will identify residents by wristband or photo, document ADLs and vital signs on flow sheets, report changes to the Nurse Supervisor, assist with meals and hydration, and help maintain safety and cleanliness in the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with California laws.
• Must read, write, and understand the English language.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition to handle difficult residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with routine daily activities and nursing care per the care plan.
• Identify residents using wristband or photo before treatments and meals.
• Record entries on flow sheets (ADLs, I&Os, meal intake, vitals) in a descriptive, legible manner.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Transport residents to activities and to the receiving areas as needed.
• Assist with meal service and hydration, ensuring correct trays for each resident.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in accordance with policies and procedures.
