Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, seeks a Station Manager for our emissions station in Prince Frederick, MD. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with policies, and maintain a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities include interviewing and training staff, scheduling, managing inventories, coordinating maintenance, and promoting safety through the station's Safety Program. 1-3 years supervisory experience required.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field desirable.
  • Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of emission stations to ensure compliance with Envirotest’s policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and assist with the training of new employees, giving continuous coaching, feedback, and support.
  • Supervise and assign tasks to employees to ensure the efficiency of the station.
  • Create employee schedules to ensure proper staffing for station based on forecasted customer traffic and operational needs.
  • Ensure emission inspections are conducted accurately and efficiently to minimize customer wait times.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operation activities.
  • Manage inventory of supplies around the station.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, including groundskeeping, snow removal, janitorial upkeep and painting.
  • Promote a culture of safety by leading the station’s Safety Program to ensure the safety of both employees and customers.
  • Complete administrative paperwork related to station’s operations and finances
  • Conduct emissions tests as needed to maintain compliance with customer wait time expectations.
  • Additional duties as assigned by District or Operations Manager.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field is desirable
  • Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to express and exchange ideas verbally and in writing
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles, 50-80% of the time
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling and stooping, up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to withstand exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
