Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) Regulation & Certification Department seeks a regulatory professional to monitor and analyze federal, state, and local emissions and safety standards, and to prepare corporate positions and comments.

The role involves coordinating with R&D and affiliated companies, attending industry meetings, and traveling up to 30% domestically and internationally. A bachelor's degree and 5 years of automotive regulatory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent; 5 years automotive environmental regulations experience; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow federal/state emissions activities and provide analysis, comments, and guidance to Hyundai affiliates.
• Monitor EPA and CARB research and regulatory initiatives via industry/government meetings and contacts.
• Prepare corporate positions and written comments by coordinating input from R&D and HMG-affiliated companies.
• Prepare reports on upcoming regulations with recommendations for action.
• Disseminate information on environmental trends and regulatory developments to R&D staff.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
