Amentum is the world’s top supplier of automotive test facilities for commercial automotive industry customers, located in Allen Park, MI. The Emissions Lab Test Technician is a full-time role bridging vehicle development with cutting-edge testing technologies and a generous benefits package.

This position requires testing full vehicles, instrument installation, calibration, and precise data capture of emission tests, with a midnight shift from 11 PM to 7:30 AM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Associates degree or two years college courses in automotive engineering or related disciplines preferred.
• Must possess the ability to drive a manual transmission and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work Midnight shift: 11PM - 7:30AM.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Involved in the testing of full vehicles on chassis rolls and evaporative emission testing.
• Includes vehicle installation on chassis roll, instrumentation installation and checkout, test systems instrumentation calibration, site computer operation, emission test site operation and driving to follow a video road speed trace and data validation.
• Data validation and analysis of emission test results.
