Job summary

Amentum in Allen Park, MI, seeks an Emissions Lab Test Technician to support vehicle development through emissions testing and instrumentation setup. This full-time role involves installing equipment on chassis rolls, calibrating test systems, operating emission test sites, and analyzing data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Must be able to pass a PMHV licensing and work a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM day shift. The position offers a generous benefits package including health/dental/vision insurance, PTO,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
• Associates degree in Automotive Technology or two years college in automotive engineering or related disciplines preferred.
• Must possess ability to drive a manual transmission and have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work day shift: 7AM-3:30PM.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Involved in testing full vehicles on chassis rolls and evaporative emission testing.
• Vehicle installation on chassis roll, instrumentation installation and checkout, test systems instrumentation calibration.
• Site computer operation, emission test site operation and driving to follow a video road speed trace; data validation and analysis.
