Job summary

UniversalAGI, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an EMI & RCS Simulation Engineer to lead foundation-model development in electromagnetics. You will run industry EM simulations, build large labeled datasets, and deliver EMI and RCS analyses for customer engagements in a hands-on startup environment.

The role requires deep practical fluency with commercial EM solvers, strong Maxwell theory knowledge, Python scripting, and the ability to translate model needs into effective simulation campaigns.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands on, production experience running electromagnetic simulations for EMI/EMC and/or RCS analysis.
• Deep, practical fluency with at least one major commercial full wave EM solver (Ansys HFSS or SIwave, Dassault CST Studio Suite, Altair Feko, or Cadence Clarity).
• Strong grounding in Maxwell’s equations and electromagnetic theory as applied to real engineering problems.
• Experience validating simulation results against measured or experimental data, with a clear sense of where simulation is and isn’t trustworthy.
• Working proficiency in Python for scripting, automating simulation pipelines, and structuring simulation output into clean datasets.
• Ability to translate model needs into both internal training data and customer-facing analysis.
• High execution velocity in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and run EMI and RCS simulation campaigns using industry standard EM solvers to generate high fidelity training data.
• Build and maintain large, well labeled simulation datasets spanning EMI and RCS geometries and scenarios.
• Produce EMI and RCS analysis and deliverables that power customer engagements.
• Validate simulation outputs against measured data and known analytical solutions.
• Automate and scale simulation pipelines with scripting and batch job orchestration.
• Collaborate with AI research team to translate model performance gaps into new simulation campaigns.
